UniCredit Bank Austria I Pioneer in climate protection UniCredit Bank Austria was the only Austrian bank to be recognised as a pioneer in the field of climate protection in the major banking study conducted by WWF and PwC Austria. Both the overall strategic integration of sustainability and the integration of ESG criteria in the investment process were highlighted as criteria for the assessment. A milestone is UniCredit Bank Austria's successful GoGreen accounts with the Austrian Eco-label, where every euro in the account is used to finance sustainable projects. The range of sustainable mortgage and project finance products underpins the bank's pioneering status. UniCredit Bank Austria has also set itself the clear goal of becoming climate neutral (net zero) in terms of its own emissions by 2030. This goal has been pursued intensively for many years, with the introduction of an ISO14001 environmental management system in 2011 being a key building block. Since then, significant savings have been achieved through the use of new technologies and, in particular, more efficient use of energy and resources.
